Easy Meal Planning

One of the easiest ways to plan meals is to set up a menu planner.  It does not have to be anything fancy, I use a spiral notebook.

Start with the basics.  I use this approach:

Mondays - ground beef (i.e.  tacos, Hamburger Helper, stuffed peppers, meatloaf, chili)
Tuesdays - Pork (i.e. pork hops, ribs, tenderloins, etc)
Wednesday - Meatless (i.e. salads, vegetable soups, spaghetti)
Thursday - Beef (i.e. steaks, pepper steak, casseroles)
Friday - Fish/Seafood (i.e. fish sticks, tuna casserole, Tuna Helper, shrimp)
Saturday - Soup/Sandwiches/Salads (free for all)
Sunday - Special dinner  - what ever you decide - This is the one day that everyone comes over.
